Flight day for Collegno youngsters


altOnce again this year, on Saturday 21st of June 2014, in collaboration with the Department of "quality of life" of the City of Collegno, a day devoted to flight for young people of the "pass 15-21" of the Collegno high schools took place at the airport.

After a briefing in the briefing room by Cmdte. Di Bari some 40 youngsters were given flights thanks to voluntary contributions by a number of members: Carlo Filippo Brignone, Dario Deledda, Gian Piero Grandi, Angelo Moriondo, Paulo Pari, Angelo Regio, Andrea Reviglio. Francesco Rondilone, Marco Tosco, Alberto Uga, Silvano Vallino Costassa.

Lufthansa chooses Torino-Aeritalia Airport


altOn Saturday 14th of June 2014, the Prodea Group SpA organized an event at the Aero Club for the LUFTHANSA "VIP customers" (about 40 people) for an unforgettable experience.

Guests were able to experience the thrill of gliding through the availability of our members: Andrea Balzi, Riccardo Di Bari, Dario Francese, Luigi Giardino, Franco Giustetto, Eligio Martinetto and Silvio Siriotto.

For the Lufthansa customers the day continued with a wine tasting and lunch served in the hangar, appropriately decorated for the occasion.

800 youngsters at the Toga Party


altOn Saturday 7th of June 2014, following a request from the Toga Party People Cultural Association, our Airport became the site of the Toga Airlines fancy dress party.

Our hangars were completely transformed for the occasion, being turned into a nightclub and a photo studio. The roughly 800 participants were all dressed in an aviation theme.

The event, which began about 10 pm and continued until 4 in the morning, was a complete success without any problems and to the satisfaction of all thanks to a thorough and flawless security service.

The event was reported by radio and newspapers.

Turin Book Fair 2014


altThis year, the Aero Club Torino participated in the Turin Book Fair, which took place between the 8th and the 12th of May.

For the Aero Club, this was a novel way to promote business and present a number of books on aeronautic subjects, particularly those published by Logisma of Florence.

On Monday, 12th of May, before a large audience, the Ministry of Defence stand was the setting for the presentation of the new book on Francesco Brach Papa written by Paulo Gariglio, Marco Papa and Massimiliano De Antoni.



Presentation at the Polytechnic


altOn Wednesday, May 14, 2014, the history and activities of the Aero Club Turin were outlined to students in their first year of the Polytechnic.

The initiative, promoted for the second year running by Professor Paolo Maggiore, was attended by about 200 students who showed keen interest in the presentations by Angelo Moriondo and Mauro Casati.


2013 Results approved

With the unanimous approval of the 42 Club members present, the Aeroclub General Assembly voted their approved of the consolidated budget results at 31.12.2013, which closed with a positive balance of E 60.106, all of which is used to further the Club patrimonial assets.

The President, Angelo Moriondo outlined the Club activities of 2013 and gave a presentation of the activities already achieved within 2014 and those which are scheduled to take place.


The Tecnam P2002JF's have arrived




On Thursday 10 April, at 16.30, two new Tecnam P2002JF aircraft joined our fleet. They have been bought both to modernize the fleet and to make the hourly running costs and hiring rates more accessible.

On the 9th of April, 4 of our istructors - Zecchin, Siriotto, Demaria and Di Bari, went to TECNAM, (Capua airport), to get the necessary flight experience and for the formal handover of the two aircraft which bear the marks I-ACTO (Aero Club Torino) and I-GILI (Gino Lisa).

Flight Safety Evening


altaltOn Thursday 3 September, Cmdr. Maurizio Dalfinosi, of Alenia Aeronautica, held a conference on the theme of "Flight Safety" for G.A., glider and ultralight pilots.

The objective was to provide examples for reflection, aimed at helping to identify or evaluate potentially dangerous situations hidden within the daily"routine"of any operator, who regardless of qualification or motivation, carries out his activities in the field of general or light aviation.

Some 60 persons, comprising members of the Aero Club and students from the Polytechnic attended, and greatly appreciated the information imparted.


The Aero Club carries out restoration of the play area/library of thdale infantile Regina Margherita


altOn Wednesday 2nd April,following a request by the FORMA Association of the Regina Margherita Children's Hospital of Turin, the Aero Club began the task of restoration of the area known as the "bibliomouse", located on the ground floor of the hospital and used by children from all its wards.

Meeting with ENAV concerning the new local airspace variations


altOn Wednesday 5th February, Messrs. Andrea Santospirito and Walter Bonelli from ENAV Caselle, together with Mr. Antimo Bertolini, Head of our AFIU, illustrated to club members the recently introduced variations to our local airspaces and outlined those expected in the near future.

As testimony to the interest in the subject, about a hundred members attended the meeting, which was much appreciated both for the information imparted and the spirit of collaboration demonstrated by the ENAV staff.
